Doctor Lolita discharging her mama

Yesterday I was released and am now in the gorgeous care of my own home on my own sofa and my own cheeky monkey to snuggle.

Dr Lolita picked me up, slightly concerned with my new look but after making sure she put a few stickers on my face to patch me up she was generally ok and just happy for the attention she got dressed up. At least I know she’s still like her mother…!

Coming home is beautiful but still a little fearful. It feels a little bit like – right that’s it, back to life eh? Except it’s obviously not possible so I’m trying to slowly adjust to what this in-between stage is with little energy but roaring spirit is.

Waking up to a monkey crawling into our bed was absolutely glorious and having that on tap in amongst the tantrums is just the best feeling ever so we’ll be alright.

I also managed to a solid 9 hours sleep overnight which was AMAZING. Nothing like your own bed eh.

I’m hoping to have a walk on Hampstead Heath later (my happy place) and hang out with a very few visitors. Still slightly worried about terrifying kids in the park with my scars and dressings but hopefully they’ll just think I’m still so enthusiastic about Halloween.
